Default [IBC] Elaeagnus Commutata (Silverberry)

hi all...

well, on my searches, i found the COOLEST elaeagnus! it is in EXCELLENT
shape, and the previous owner did a magnificent job of shaping and
developing branching on the tree.

question for you all: can it withstand winters outside in zone 5?? i'm
tempted to put it with my maples in storage for the winter, but if it's
deciduous, doesn't it need light? ...of course, it it's DORMANT, i guess
light wouldn't matter, right? can you see why i'm confused?

at any rate, any information on this little guy would be awesome. i know
there are MANY of you out there that has or had a silverberry elaeagnus
that could give me some pointers.

thanks again!
tosh
