The Community College of Philadelphia Architecture Program and the
Utopian Design Collective are proud to present a Lecture by Dr.
Dickson Despommier of the Vertical Farm Project. As an agricultural
and environmental crisis looms, Dr. Despommier, a Columbia university
luminary, has dared to dream. His vision of an urban agriculture
presents an elegant solution to feeding the world, and confronts the
challenge of creating sustainable urban space. The multi-disciplinary
approach of his project combines environmental science, emergent
materials technology and architecture to create the possibility of a
radically green city. Join us as we learn more about the realities of
Vertical Farms.
