Nothing worse than seeing a gaggle of overweight gnomes fishing on the
same stretch of river about 2 feet from their cars and throwing loaves
of bread in the river hoping the big one will come along and jump into

But there are different kinds of fishing, aren't there. We regularly
see men in the middle of wide Welsh rivers, concentration focussed on
the waters, skillfully snaring trout. And then there's deep-sea
fishing, which is an art too.
