Default Love grass

Wilman Lovegrass (Eragrostis superba) is sometimes planted in the Hill
Country as grazing for cattle. They will often prefer it to Coastal
Bermuda. The seed is usually available at feed stores either in stock or on
order. It is planted in the spring in well prepared soil barely covering
the seed and kept moist until germination. It might have some deco value
as it makes tall seed-stem/heads but it would have no value as a lawn grass
and little value in the garden as organic material compared to Elbon
ryegrass for example. A well cared for field or pasture of Lovegrass is a
beautiful sight however.
