Default Blowing in mulch for habitat

The thumbnail doesn't show the full dimensions 60' x 160'. The
calculation is mulch 2 inches thick.

I fear 60 yards of compost will be way too deep and will not allow the =

rainwater
to reach the ground. We have a brush pile in the back corner where bir=

ds live,
lizards, some snakes and their prey, etc. If it were mine to do, I'd b=

uy enough
mulch and after I watered the soil for many hours (yes even in winter) =

I'd make
it 3-4 inches thick. Use the rest on ground covers which are also grea=

t
habitat.
