I have a Fuyu and it has dropped fruit a lot later on in the season in
past years. Then I read that persimmons drop fruit from lack of water. So
now, once it has some fruit, I know to keep it watered nicely. Fuyu is the
less astringent variety and will not make you "pucker" even if you pick it
a bit before it is ripe.

THANKS, B.
Fuyu is the one that I was going to go with,
but just wondering if someone had a better
one.
Thanks,
Gene

Can I plant just "one" Japanese Persimmon &

I have had decent luck with Fuyu. They are self fertile. Since that
is the only one I planted, I can't help you with comparisons. The
fruit is very good, once fully ripe.
