What specie of bamboo do you have? Some species do'nt dry well and some
don't. I prepare my flute blanks by heat treat them to draw out resin and
wipe off with a cloth, then soak them in denature alcohol for 2-3 days.
After that I let them sit in a cool place for 1/2 to 2 years.
