Oh, yes. It's the same toxin as in rhubarb leaves. I wouldn't worry,
as the amount you have to eat to poison yourself is excessive. It
isn't something that you should eat in large quantities every day for
a month, though.

Nobody can eat large quantities of rhubarb everyday, without serious side
effects.
