You cannot be sure the only thing burnt is plain wood, in fact that is
very unlikely, so I would collect it all up with the remaining rubbish and
dump the lot.

I will have words with the builders and see just what there is in the
bonfire.

Unable to talk to Daughter and Son in Law as they are in New York at the
moment. Went out on QM2, spending a few days shopping then coming back on
QM2 and should be back next week. I have a gut feeling that a lot of the
pile is garden waste from the hotel flowers. We will wait and see, but have
taken on board your comments re nasties in there
