Default Sudden hail storm :-(

...wiped out my garden today. Tomatoes and peppers that I had grown
from seed are totally destroyed. The storm was a couple of hours ago,
and the lawn is still white. I saw folks shoveling their decks like it
was snow.

Guess I'll get to replant with shitty overpriced plants from Wal-mart.

I didn't see any dents in the cars, and no broken windows, so that's a
good thing.

What a bugger. Cyclones and tornados get all the publicity but hailstorms can
be vastly destructive too. They don't totally erase a place like the other
storms but they cause untold damage to agriculture and huge insurance bills in
built up areas. Sydney (where I used to live) copped a bad one a few years
ago that cost about 2 billion dollars.
