Oh I second that, from innumerable stints at NGS days ! They'd rather
have a load of some horrible fairly invasive herbaceous plants than wait
until a hoheria comes out or a special clematis etc.!


I must support you re the Hoheria - a truly terrific tree. We have some
strange hybrids in the garden as well as selling a known variety and I think
they're very under-rated. In fact, under-rated seems to amount almost to
unknown.
