Can anyone suggest a plant to put in a half oak barrel , preferences,
..not to big and that it will survive all year as i live a stones throw
from the north east coast so if ever theres a cold north easterly
blowing the plant will get the brunt of it............THANKS

Anything will have to have winter protection for the first two years
until established - a cage with green netting seems to work for me.

How about a phormium? Minimum care, lots of different colours to choose
from, and eventually a stunning flower spike.
