The message
from "Muddymike" contains these words:

Shows the largest bow to have come down so far.

Bow?

Bough, and you know it.

But how can you assume that he knows that?

It's clear to me what is meant.

Good for you.

It really does not
matter if people cannot spell the exact word they are looking for, but it
does say something about yourself.

For some who read newsgroups it can mean dyslexia and that they are
struggling to learn how to spell and read correctly or to see words as you
see them with your perfect word vision. Rusty is absolutely NOT the sort of
person who pulls others up on their spelling or grammar. He just is not -
he plays the merry fool with English himself, just for fun. A bough, a bow
as in courtier and a bow, as in an archer's bow made from a tree, or the
decoration on a girl's dress, can confuse this issue and perhaps this is a
case in point. Most of us are of a helpful inclination. You took offence
with me making some innocent remark about fish on ukfd, which surprised me
quite a lot and now you're doing it here. Relax a bit and allow for the
fact that most want to help and some can misunderstand, hmmmmm?!
