Default Jul26-E Water Lily - 20084423.jpg

Shades of red are notorious for being overexposed and "blown". This is
often seen as a disappointing lack of shading subtlety and detail in
red and pink stuff. I don't know why this is, but I have gotten in the
habit of compensating by doing an extra-heavy dose of negative ev when
taking bright reds. A set of "standard" -1/3-ev shots of this flower
were hopelessly over exposed. This was at -1 2/3.
