I think your buddy was pulling your leg. Redlands is a ways from the
epicenter but I don't know how he'd miss it unless he was in a car.

Well it could be possible. I mean if you have been sailing and get
used to the sea. Sea legs that is. Then the motion on the land might
be something like that? Don't know, been sailing but not been
earthquaking except about 40 years ago here in Phila. when one of my
bedroom windows came down with a big bang. Got my attention for sure.
I still remember it today and the sailing days too.
