Default Osprey prevention

Because an osprey is a bird of prey your friend should call

Folks will suggest netting but you have to be careful not to
harm the bird and pay the consequences. Also a trapped bird
is very dangerous - sharp beak and talons.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

And do let us know what they say, if you contact them.

I would suggest lots of bright, shiny moving things above and around the
pond. ~ jan
