Well, this one is a good start, though it's not a web site. ;-) There are
lots of gardeners here at all levels of expertise and if you put photos of
plants you want help with onto a site like flickr or tinypic, they'll help.
The books often recommended as really helpful are the Dr Hessayon range.
Ask a few questions and see if people can help you and welcome to urg!
