PS I am waiting for someone to develop a ceanothus that can live in
Mississippi. :-)
Ceanothus requires a dry summer and excellent (perfect?) drainage. Even
with ideal growing conditions, it lives for only 5-10 years.
It grows wild in the hills near my house.
