Peppermint & Thyme

I wonder if Mints & Thyme can survive the tropical climate with high
humidity? Daily Temp Range: 28~32dC. Humidity: 78%.
I don't see any reason why a mint wouldn't be able to survive those
conditions, however, I am concerned that it might turn into a difficult to
manage weed. It is nearly such in moist temperate climates. Some thymes
might do well, others seem to prefer lower humidity.
