Why is the formatting on so many of my posts messed up? I see one let

This is probably more information than you want, but I don't know a way

really simplify...

Outlook Express. You're posting with a content type of "text/plain;
format=flowed". This means that, to help much older news readers, OE
inserts a "soft" carriage return every "N" characters (probably 72, it
might be more). Smart readers then remove those when displaying the
message, and just wrap the line as necessary to fit your window. Any t

ime
you actually insert a carriage return, OE puts in a "hard" return, and

no
newsread removes those.

Since even OE should be capable of handling the soft returns it inserte

d
itself, I'd have to guess that you're not letting it handle the wrappin

g
when you write, and are manually inserting returns - so just don't :-)

The alternatives would be to look in the OE settings and see if you can
either turn off the "flowed" formatting, or set your line length lower

(72
is standard).

====================================I let it handle the wrapping. I don't hit enter at any point. It was set
at
76
characters per line as it always was. I reset it to 60. I see Gareee's p
ost
is as messed up as mine, and was difficult to read.
