Only tells you what you already know and have got a soaking.

A Pine Cone is just as good. If it's wet, it's been raining or is raining.



Unless of course you want to know if its raining some distance away.

Very useful for a nursery if rain has been forecast but is either moving
away or about to appear a lot more quickly than expected.
