They are cliche commercial landscape plants here and a bit too
aggressive for a typical home garden.
Of course they are pretty enough that I still have to try them.
There is another species - D. bicolor - that is nicer and less
aggressive.


The chap I bought the D.grandiflora from is an elderly South African plant
expert/specialist and he told me he had yet to get D. bicolor to flower in
the UK. If he couldn't get it to flower I didn't think it was worth me
trying.
