Default conifer planting

In article ,
says...

Any ideas on the best method for planting confiers?
Soil is currently builders rubble/clay which doesn't drain well.
The conifers are about 4 feet tall.
Thanks

Remember to water well all winter and wrap with fleece in windy weather,
its a very bad time to plant conifers. If its for a hedge then best
advice is sell conifers on Ebay!
