I only had venizon once, and that was in New Zealand, at one of their
Maori "barbecues"
called a Hongi (sp?).

Hangi.
The hongi is a Maori greeting. They press noses to mingle the breath.
A hangi is cooked underground on hot stones, and covered for hours.
Most restaurants in New Zealand now offer venison from farmed deer.
Guess you know about Whale Rider?

Marvellous film! Anyone who doesn't know it should see it.
It helps to know something about Maori culture. Google it, there are plenty
of websites.
Or come on over and see for yourself. Summer is coming down here.
