Default PRUNUS incisa 'Pendula' ... where?

"Serendipity" wrote in message ...
A couple of weeks ago, I asked for - and received - advice on a
'small' weeping tree. Of all the suggestions, I found the 'incisa
Pendula' to be the most attractive to my way of thinking, and
requirements.

I set about obtaining one, thinking it would be a straightforward
task *Wrong!* I approached some twenty one garden centres,
particularly those specialising in trees.

Only one of them had the plant, and they didn't deal in mail order.
Going to pick it up was out of the question - the centre was in
Cheshire, and I live in Plymouth - and I'm physically unable to
undertake such a journey (I'm old and knackered :-)

Oops - this is my fault. I think I said in my original post I had the last one from Bridgemere a few weeks ago for a
commercial landscape we're doing. It isn't easy to find but for the life of me I don't know why - it really should be
better known and more frequently planted. My first experience of it was also at Bridgemere a couple of years ago when
they had a big batch of them in flower in containers near the checkouts and nearly everbody who went out of there that
day took one of those plants.
All I can say is keep trying - it's worth it.
