-6C here last night and a white start to the day.

Is that all! I'm surprised it wasn't lower. On the local weather
forecast, David Brane (sp?) said it was -6C in Penzance last night,
and we had the same on the other side of the bay. That's the coldest
it's been since we moved here eight years ago. It's already -2.7C
tonight and it's only 7pm. I expect losses in the garden. The flowers
on my Lobsterclaw that I posted a pic of in your first appeal for NYD
plants, are now a dark plum purple. Quite attractive really!

Snap! my Lobster claw also looking sad, -9c here, a real killer, although
I fancy a little warmer during the day today compared with yesterday when
it stayed below -4c all day
