It has been the most *awful* day here - howling gale and lashing rain all
day since about 11am. It's still going on now. We seem to get at least
one
of these as soon as the poor old rooks are completing their nests,
sometimes
after they've got chicks, too and heaven only knows what goes through
their
minds as they get hurled about the tree tops. Amazingly, we had some
hardy
customers in today - they really must be the dedicated gardening types! I
hope others have had a rather more pleasant day and that his blows off,
out
to sea pdq!

Not so good late in the day but this morning I finished digging the
allotment, looks lovely, like a soft brown pillow. Now goodness knows what
all this rain will do, probably undo all my hard work and cap the silt/clay
soil again.
