Default privet and cuttings

In article ,
says...

hi all
i was wondering when is the best time to take a privet cutting? and how
much do i need and how do i do it?
thanks

I will tell you if you promise not to plant a hedge of it :~) Horrible
stuff privet.
Just cut some nice straight shoots about 9" long, lose the tips then
remove most of the lower leaves and put in a pot of cutting compost in a
cold frame. (Or you can just stick them in the ground)
