We are still picking a few similar (Trafalgar) right at the top of the
stems. Taste good to us and neighbours and the frost seems to have
improved
the flavour if anything. They won't last much longer though before they
blow.

Yes that's what is said, same also about parsnips and leeks.
Personally I think there may be something in it but it might just be
hogwash.

Parsnips IMHO definitely, they are sweeter after a good frosting.
