Ferns look like alien life-forms.
Especially when they're as perfect as your subjects always are - the
plants I photograph usually have some dead leaf or blemish on them
somewhere!

We have a herbaceous fern called "bracken" which has an underground
root sytem. One plant can cover half a county and in hot wet seasons
the shoots grow fast enough to blur your pictures. Farmers fear it.
