a short while ago put some Pieris Forest Flame in some pots with some new
john innes no 3 soil.
the growing tip leaves instead of being red have turned a pale yellow.
should i add some proper garden soil or is there something else i should
be doing to get the red colour back?
They do turn a rather sickly lime colour as they lose their redness and
become green. Keep an eye on the plant. If all the green leaves seem
generally yellowish, then they may be chlorotic. Pieris prefers ericaceous
compost, so using an acid feed occasionally will help.
