Default where are the girl frogs??

I spent all day today cleaning and getting the waterfall going for summer.
Exhausted and a little sunburn but feeling very peaceful. As the sun was
setting I sat down and enjoyed a job well done. As the frogs started calling
I sat and watched. They hop up and call to each other. Claiming territory
and trying to lure a mate. But it seems all I have are males.....Each time a
new one would come around they would rush over but would soon find
disappointment. They stand up as high as they can to say "I am the biggest
and most handsome frog and I will get my princess!"
I got a little shock today while walking around the back side of the pond. A
black snake was making his way from the pond into the horse pasture. He was
quite defensive and even raised up and threatened me. I told him to just
settle down and don't make trouble. He slid away and took refuge under a
board. He must have been lured by the frog songs too.
I took some pictures this afternoon and hope to have them loaded to my
webshots page soon. Of the pond not of the snake...
