About 4 years ago an Oriental lady in the neighborhood was "thinning
out" her bed of Irises. She probably had 60-80 Irises in the bed.
I asked her what she was going to do with the discards. She said she was
going to put them in her garden waste bin!!. She let me have all I
wanted. So I picked out 15-20 beautiful specimens. I planted about 8
myself and made a lot of my gardening friends happy by giving them the
remaining plants. Each year they continue to get larger and more
beautiful blooms.......I love 'em.
