Thanks for your help guys, i think i will post this on another forum
where people are not so "clicky".

Good idea. All you got here was an answer from an expert whose Nursery
specialises in Clematis and who holds a National Collection!

Look at the timing! How was i to know an expert was going to comment once i made my comment, this is exactly what i meant by "clicky", if you dont wear the right cardigan you are an outcast and frowned upon by certain users.....
