Here is a short macro of a Stokesia, aka Stokes Aster or cornflower.
This sample is the generic species and one of my perennials grown from
seed. There are hybrids (such as 'Blue Danube', which I also have)
that are more of a baby-blue color than the lavender of the species
shown here, but I kind of prefer the shade of the natural variety.
This shot was taken with a 12mm extension tube on my 50mm lens. The
actual size of the flower is probably 2-2.5-in.

Canon 1DmkIII; EF50mm f1.4; ISO-400; f16; 1/640-sec; -1/3ev; with 12mm
extension-tube.
