Default AC Power

They came by and dug a trench out to the back pond, put cable in it
and filled it back in and now I have 110 VAC out at the back pond. It
sounds simple, however I assure you it wasn't, but I won't get into
it. Suffice it to say it was a week before the job was complete, and
the back pond is "only" about 800 ft away.

Anyway, the first thing I plugged in was the aerator. I just stood on
the bank to throw the air stone in. It's only been a few days, and
the bubbler hasn't done much more than clear about a 5 ft diameter
circle around it. Not that I expected much more, and I don't expect
much for several weeks, at least not that you can see. However you
can now see the blanket of duckweed gently undulating to the ripples
from the bubbler. Where the clear circle intersects the shore the
duckweed there looks decidedly unhealthy. I don't think it is an
indication of things to come, but I wouldn't be unhappy if it were.

The wildlife seems pretty calm about it. The turtles just don't seem
to care at all. I've seen the dragonflies, some 10 at a time, form a
circle around it and just hover and stare at it, but mostly they carry
on like it just wasn't there at all. From the way they behave you'd
think they see bubblers all the time, and were only a little surprised
to see one exactly *there*.
