Hi All,

I have a four year old lawnking walk behind self propelled mower .All
was well until about a month ago when operating the drive lever on the
handle the rear wheels would only jerk intermitantly and not drive the
mower correctly ,this has now resulted in loss of any propultion.I have
changed out the drive belt to the gear box for a new one ,and also
changed out the cable going to it ,but the problem is still there.Any
one got any other ideas on how to fix this frustating problem .

Thanks

Craig

Take the wheels apart. They most likely have a one direction gear
drive. Basically this setup allows the wheels to be powered going
forward but freely spin when not being powered.

The parts get gummed up with dirt or dry grease or sometimes they
wear out. Hopefully you can just inspect, clean, re-grease and
re-install.
