These are not Japanese maples, but I'm not sure beyond that.

They were kept in an unheated garage in Pennsylvania, and may have been
subject to very cold temps this winter.

All the leaves on the 1 are badly wilted. The other 1 only some of the
leaves. They are not crispy, just like a wet noodle. I'll check the roots
and see if I can see signs of a fungus.
