1) Lawn ca
* While going for a grass lawn, choose between cool season grasses and warm season grasses
* Also choose for type of usage of grass. For example rye grass needs frequent watering while Zoysia grass survives tough climates.
Plants:
2) Temperatu
* Plants that are grown in temperatures lower than those recommended for them suffer. Look for leaves around the outside – they would be the first to suffer.
* A combination of high temperature, low humidity and dry compost causes plants to wilt rapidly and foliage to shrivel.
3) Watering:
* Water is vital for plants growth. Plants absorb water through their roots and release it into the atmosphere through their leaves.
* Tapping a side of a clay pot is one way to judge if compost inside is dry. A ringing note indicates that it needs water and a dull note indicates that no water is needed.
* Wilting of plant indicates too much and too little water. Plants seldom recover when water is not given. Healthy leaves and stem indicates sufficient water.
4) Grooming and ca:
* Flowers must be removed as soon as they start to fade. Remove flower stalks together with flower. Else they encourage diseases.
* Dust and dirt are enemies of leaves. Large leaves can be cleaned wih soft, damp cloth.
* To trim shoots, use sharp scissors severing them just above leaf joint. Tips of young foliage plants can be nipped off to encourage development of side shoots

Thanks
Please can I ask what the ca stands for? Is this a post for US gardeners or gardeners in general?
