Just to explain how this works with posting to the newsgroups through GardenBanter.

In the tests I have run, the average time from posting to appearing in 3 seperate newservers (two in USA, one in UK) is 7 minutes. The shortest has been under 1 minute and the longest 14 minutes.

New posts get downloaded from all the newsgroups 5 times every hour.

Update 15th July 2003

This is now improved with the new server move. The longest is now 9 minutes (to populate about 10,000 servers), and the shortest is a few seconds
