That looks like it! Bruising. Hmmm. Looks like someone hasn't been
very careful harvesting the potatoes. I've only seen this on shop
bought potatoes, never on my own.

My experience exactly. As I mentioned the other day, I suspect it's a
consequence of commercial handling.
