I've lost the name of this thing. It's pretty common. My neighbor even
has a shrub tree with them but he has no idea what they're called either.
Anybody know? I've googled "small purple flower" and finally gave up
after looking at 100 pages.

My immediate reaction was Solanum or close relative.
