I've just dug down and it is coming from under the fence that backs
onto a public pathway, so would assume it's like the rest of the weeds
that come through and is not there for its beauty!

Shame - actually I think convolvulus is quite beautiful but it's just a
terrible thug. It's ironic to think that Ipomoea grows as a weed in
hot countries and is cherished and nourished along in this one! For
your sake I'd rather hoped you had a neighbour growing the Ipomoea
which had then found its way under your fence.


I quite like the look of bindweed when it is in flower. There was a
huge amount on a "natural" hedge quite close to my home. Someone
decided to kill it and now the whole hedge is just tangled twigs.
