Default Clearest water ever

Whereas the upper
pond of the koi ponds has dread locks, where the lower pond (and they're
connected) does not. I blame it on all the rain. ~ jan

Our waterfalls have blanket weed. The berm and main ponds do not. I
attribute the lack of string algae in the main pond to the kpi who
used to regard it as a treat. I attributed the lack of blanket weed
in the upper pond to the problem competing witht he rapid growth of
the hyacinth (that now cover both 4 x 8 berm ponds totally and are
growing up). I will have to take a look at the top ponds to think out
again why they have no string algae.

I note that the jelly-like blue/green algae is growing happily on the
rocks of the waterfalls. I haven't thought about why that is there.

Any ideas?
