HELP!!!
I have a low growing plant with leaves similar to a common geranium,
but smaller; pale greenish gray in color, slightly fuzzy, on a woody
stem & with a mild scent; small dark purple 4 petal flowers at the
tips of the stems more resembling a violet blossom than a geranium;
the stem is not flexible and the plant tends to droop rather than
climb. It grows year round here on the California central coast, and
new plants are easily started by breaking off a stem and putting it
into some soil, quite similar to geraniums. I have looked in every
plant book and on several websites without any success. Can you give
me any hints as to its name and/or family?
I can't send a picture as I don't have a camera or a cell phone.
