2.4 metres of 60 mm diameter is around £40, so about 50p each, or 75p
for the 120 mm size. Cheaper than the copper bands available, and maybe
easier to use

What's the wall thickness? You might be able to cut it with a hacksaw.

I've tried all sorts to deter the snails this Spring, based on what
might be physically irritating. Rockwool and fibre mesh abrasive have
failed, but maybe Velcro is worth a try.

I've also noticed that they don't seem to like fencing or sheds, made
from timber impregnated with preservative, so maybe that's a
possibility. In that case it would have to be a chunky square box rather
than a ring though.

I'm trying Nemaslug again this year. I forgot to order it last year,
but I think it gave good (not perfect) results previously.
