hello, i'm brand new to gardening.
I bought a phyllostachys aurea, golden bamboo from bnq, knocked down
from £40 to a tenner, it has absolutely no leaves, i have pruned off the
dead parts, should i clip off all the branches or leave them on? i know
this is a fairly hardy bamboo but can it survive with no leaves?? i gave
it a weak sugar solution when in the pot, it is now planted in the
ground and been fed (miracle grow). what can i do to help it?
any advice would be very much appreciated! =)

hello beecrofter, i took your advice and mulched with some manure, i have also regularly watered..
unfortunately i think its a lost cause.. no new culms or leaves. just a slow yellowing of the existing canes.. i'll leave it in untill nest spring and see if any life springs forth then.. and perhaps replant the area then
thank you for your advice.
