Just an idle question, but is glyphosate
the same as Roundup?

I notice people on this group have suddenly started
talking about glyphosate;
I don't recall seeing it mentioned until recently.

It comes up from time to time. Usually only when the weeds are growing
strongly!

You cannot actually buy Glyphosate as such.

A concentrated formulation of which it is the main active ingredient, is
available in agricultural type places in five litre containers.
I paid about £30.00 for some just recently . It is used at a concentration
rate of about 2 percent, so it works out a factor of ten or more
cheaper than round up types of stuff.

You will have to ask for it at the counter as it is normally kept under lock
and key in secure storage, and is not on display.
