I wouldn't get alarmed! The resemblance is only because it is almost
certainly in the same family, Polygonaceae, the dock family. I'd go with
Stewart's previous suggestion of buckwheat.
Yes, my wife said they looked like buckwheat seeds.
Probably not a major allotment crop,though.
Is it worth harvesting?
