Just geting ready to water and feed the dahlias out the field,
expecting a visit from a chap from defra regarding a question I had
in April when the rain started, that was earlyThursday afternoon,
it has hardly stoped since then, giving a total up to mid day today
of 5.1 inches.
Why is it all or nothing with us here, still have to feed, but it
will be a lot quicker now.

Five inches! That is as much as I've had all year!

If I could find a way I'd be happy to send it to you.

Heavens, David, that sounds a bit grim! I talked to the daughter in
Chepstow this morning and she said it had been raining but not like
that, I hope. I think I'll check....!
Hope it stops soon. We've had a fairly steady fine rain here most of
today but it's stopped now and is windy. But grey skies still loom
over us - v. dreary.

All or nothing eh!
Makes you want to hang up your fork.
Our main crop of potatoes already have scab.
So humid too, just cut the grass between days of intermittent rain and I
feel like I have been in a sauna.
No doubt we are not the only ones feeling glum though.
Mind you we always feel a bit sorry when the season end looms and its 6
months before we can have another go at it.

Good luck to all
